So this is blogging?

I have to say I was pretty skeptical that I would be able to keep up with all the requirements of ds106 but I guess so far so good. This weeks assignment was to experiment with your blog, make it your own.

The first part was to pick a theme and design the look of the site. After messing around with some designs for a while I finally picked one that I liked. After that I went online and found a background and cover photo that I liked and uploaded them to the site. The next part was to install a couple tools: Twitter Tools, Akismet (already downloaded for some reason), Subscribe to comments, Jetpack, and Google Analytics. I have all of them up and running except for Google Analytics, which for some reason just wants to be a pain in the a$$. I’ll have to do a little more investigating and probably look up a tutorial to get that to work.

My guess is that this assignment is more of an ongoing process of changing the look and feel of the site throughout the semester. If anyone knows of a good place to get some cool designs let me know.
