It did not take very long to install all the plugins and activate them. The only application that I was not able to install easily was twitter tools. I have tried playing with it but I have yet to find a solution to installing it correctly. Perhaps when I do I will make a tutorial detailing how to install it.
On another note after hearing Campbell talk and reading his paper on the digital face lift this class is making much more sense. The freedom given to us at first makes us curious to see what we can do with unlimited choices. Yet, for my case I was confused and somewhat paralyzed by this amount of freedom. Perhaps my comment regarding the emphasis on grades and doing work for a specific desired outcome concerns me as well as many other students in our education system. But is it so wrong to have a little bit of direction in our task? For example, there are those who have played Skyrim and have been disappointed for the vast amount of freedom you are given. Maybe comparing Skyrim and this course is a bit of a stretch, but I do see some similarities between the reception of the two examples. Mainly it seems like a large majority enjoy the freedom given by both of these activities, but there seems to be a small minority who do not like the freedom. I am starting to think I am one of those individuals who need some direction in work and even play in order to have fun or be productive.
