Recent Reports of a Large, Ghost-like Bat Roaming Around

There have been reports in Gotham City of a giant humanoid bat spooking the citizens. Apparently, it has been leaving criminals tied and waiting to be sent to the Gotham City Police Department. Sounds like a bunch of bologna to me. Is there really a ghost or are people just imagining things? I guess you will have to see it for yourself.

As you can see, I decided to go with Batman for this one and a half star assignment. I figured changing his color into a something ghost-like would be great since in the earlier days of Batman, people didn’t actually believe that there was a man dressed like a bat roaming around in Gotham City.

In order to create this ghost-like Batman, I first opened the image in the photo editing software, GIMP, and then used the Path Tool to trace around Batman’s head, as shown above. The last step shown below is to go under Colors and click Color Balance. You can select from a few different ranges to change. I messed with all three ranges and fiddled with the three color levels until I got this spooky Batman that you see before you.spooky bat instructions2

Even though there are only a few steps to this, I still found it a bit difficult to do since I have never messed with color balance before.
