Week 5 Summary

You can find my summary of my daily creates here.

My total of 8 and half star of visual assignments here, here, and here.

Last, but not least, my use of photography tips here.

I learned a lot about photography this week. I haven’t really used the techniques before in my photos, but now I see why many photographer use them. They can bring out so much more from an image. I tried my best to incorporate the techniques that I learned in the photos I took and after awhile, I realized that using contrast and both foreground and background were great for setting up a story. You can see my examples in my photography tips blog post above. If you utilize both the foreground and background, you can easily tell multiple stories in one image. I also tried to work co-imagining into my photos as well because I find that to rather important in most forms of storytelling.

The visual assignments this week came out great. I believe I managed to tell a story with all three of them and so far, the Kanye West one seems to be the best according  to classmates.

I manage to comment on my Radio groups and my other classmates’ photoblitz images using the tag #talkingpolack106. I commented on Lori’s image of the contrast between technology and nature and on Ben’s images of his coffee mug and the interesting shadow from his room. Overalll, my classmates came up with some rather unique photos and I was a bit jealous.
