This has been my first experience ever buying a domain name and space! Although WordPress has been very easy to use, I did have a hard time navigating and trying to figure out how I should point my domain space and name. Receiving and responding to the e-mails made me question whether I was following the right sequence of instruction. I wasn’t really sure what CPanel was or which password to use at which time. Once I got on the right track, the rest of the  instructions all fell into place and I was setting up the blog before I knew it! Now that I have not gone back to CPanel, HostGator or Hover I am discovering exactly how to use WordPress and utilize it to its full potential.

I think using a blog has made me expressive in a whole new and creative way. It’s been an interesting experience posting and exploring on different blogs. I would definitely try to implement an online component in my own classroom. Although it was difficult in the beginning, I was able to figure out the process and become literate in a very new way. Getting through those online obstacles made me feel accomplished and even more excited to see what else I could do with this tool! Students could learn to acquire information through a new medium while feeling good about figuring it out. As the teacher, there would be guidance provided of course but with enough room for the students to flourish on their own.
