Looking through this small booklet, I find that the concept of being spot on and perfect is rather important with designing. Looking back on all of the different designs that posters, signs, logos and what other things had, you notice that they are always appealing to look at. The golden arches of McDonald’s is a pretty good example. Looking at them from a designing point of view, there is nothing wrong with them. The design is perfect in the sense of not being messy or lazy with it. The designers of these arches could’ve created a giant yellow “M” and called it quits, but they actually put the time and the effort into making arches and adding the detail of the french fry to them.
No one wants to see a ugly design or a lazy design because if you are running a business, the customer would believe that you are also pretty lazy when it comes to taking care if them. That’s why you see a bunch of commercial companies with interesting, simple, and detailed designs to appeal and attract customers and consumers.
Looking back at the Design Blitz that I did earlier, yo will notice that all of the designs that I chose we are appealing to look at and grabbed your attention in some way. The colors of the Stairs sign, simple instructions and appealing symbols of both the fire safety sign and recycling, and the symmetry of Eagle Landing and the office building next to it can all appeal and attract people.
Being perfect and well detailed is crucial when you are designing anything. You always remember the more appealing logos than the clunky and lazy ones.
