For this assignment, I had a lot of fun. I think after 4 hours of playing, I created a handful of photos with color splash. By far, my favorite, and quite easy to do!

This photo is of my big brother skateboarding. He makes a living by taking and editing photos and videos for other skateboarders. I thought this would be a great photo to toy with on photoshop. This original photo was taken in color. I duplicated the layer and made one black and white. I then took my eraser tool and used it on the color photo, where I was erasing became black and white. I left the U-turn sign color. After the tedious effort of keeping the sign while removing the color everywhere else, I thought it would be cool to adjust the contrast and hues of the sign.  I’m quite happy with the product. I plan on sending this photo back to my brother for his collection.

Especially with this assignment, I plan on doing more photos. I’m working on some photos on my dog, Benny. Unfortunately he is a black lab, so doing a color splash is difficult. I’m trying to adjust saturation and hue to bring out some neat colors. I’ll upload it for fun, soon!
