Eagle Radio: Second Recording Session

Once again, team Eagle Radio was on a productivity streak last night! We were able to record basically the whole second half of the show, including a second comercial and bumper and another interview. Margaret was able to get in contact with a Ms Jane Tyler Coats who graduated from UMW in ’75. She was wonderful enough to answer our interview questions via email with a fantastic amount of detail! This was a perfect match for our “middle” time period because she was able to talk about when boys first started going to the school.

Here’s what we have so far:

We did hit a bit of a road block when we went back to our first session to make some changes. We saved it as a project file in Audacity, but when we went back to open the file, for some reason it broke our entire recording into separate five second chunks. Each is saved as a different file…. very strange. We are really hoping that tonight Jim Groom will be able to help us out and find a way to make sense out of all these silly files. Fingers crossed, we wont have to re-record all that we already had done. I would be super sad (and extremely overwhelmed/stressed) if this was the case. (So for real, cross your fingers for us!!!)

Tonight our game plan is to (hopefully) sort out whatever the issue is with that first recording session, record our last segment of the four of us Eage Radio members talking about our experiences here, and record the conclusion/outro. Then we will just have to piece it together and TADA, it should be done! (And some editing and adding some music to our bloopers/making-of tracks.

I super duper hope we will be able to finish all this tonight (cause I’m suffering from a bad case of pre-spring break lethargy).
