Children of Men Video Essay

While watching the videos from “Every Frame a Painting”, I was reminded of a scene I linked in an earlier response from Children of Men. The shots in this scene feel very painting-y to me, so it popped into mind while watching the series. Here’s my video essay:

I’d always really liked the scene, but after watching the videos, I tried really looking at why this is such a good scene. I definitely looked way more into it than I normally would for a scene in a movie. I feel like I didn’t get to talk about some of the shots as much as I’d wanted to, due to the time constraints, but I got a few of my points in. The whole scene is packed full of good shots that I could talk about, but talking about one means I can’t talk about the next 10. The scene that I mentioned that looked like a painting looks like a specific painting that I cannot for the life of me remember. If I remember, I want to link it here.
