Drunk tank poster!

Today is the day where the final touches were put into the radio show and uploaded to soundcloud. The final show includes the 20 minutes radio show, a 10 documentary of the making of The Drunk Tank, 2 bumpers that are included in the show, and 2 commercials that advertise our radio show. All of the media for the show can be found on the wiki page for ds106 section 2.

For the making of the radio show, we used my dell studio to record clips onto audacity and had a sound recorder also continuously running that we used to pull clips for our documentary of the show. After getting all of our audio for the show, and the opening clip of thumper from the help of fellow students, we were ready to organize and edit the clips for the final release of our radio show. On March 1, 2012, Rossanna and I drove to Chickfila to pick up some food for our long night of editing. Later that night, Rossanna, Ross and I took different advice clips to edit on our own where we put in sound effects and deleted bad content. In the same night, Rossanna recorded the background tune for Danny’s Sober Advice section of the show on the keyboard which comes from the tune for How I Met Your Mother. At the end of the night, we had all of our clips together but with no organization and that was my job for Spring Break.

I brought a bunch of notebooks and textbooks home for Spring Break thinking I would manage to get some work done while I was at home. Nope. I did nothing except watch the first 2 seasons of Dexter and hang out with family and friends. So I spent yesterday evening putting all the clips together to make the final 20 minute radio show. I’m pleased with the way it turned out and I hope it makes some people laugh. I know I will be.

Cheers!
