I thought it was a really powerful picture – the combination of the words and the gun come together to convey a message that is truly intriguing. I think a lot of students don’t view education as their weapon; instead they see school as a mundane series of classes they have to just “get through” everyday. How successful the student is in utilizing education as a weapon depends on how the holder decides to use it and through which outlets. As teachers, it is our job to provide our students with the “ammunition” or tools they need to keep their weapon fully loaded and always working. An educated person realizes that never will their arsenal run dry when everything needed is in their own head. When students begin to use education as a tool for their own advancement, they will open up doors and portals with the most powerful weapon anyone can possess: their mind.
