When I was visiting Washington, DC over the weekend I had an idea for a visual assignment. For this assignment you must manipulate distance between objects to create an optical illusion. It took many tries and failed attempts to get my hand to line up under the Washington Monument. People began to stare at me like I was crazy, but in the end it was worth it. This assignment should be a lot of fun to create. I’ve seen some fantastic ones done with the Leaning Tower of Pisa, but since France is pretty far away I figured the Washington Monument would do.
