Analyze a Movie

Four analyze a movie assignment I chose to analyze Batman : The Dark Knight. I chose this movie because to be it is one of the best movies of all time, at least one of the best movies that i’ve ever seen. Above all I know for sure that it is one of the best sequels of all time. This movie was loaded with famous actors/actresses including Heath Ledger (Playing the Joker) and Aaron Eckhart (Playing Harvey Dent). Both actors took their acting capabilities to a whole new level in this film. The movie had amazing camera work in which producer Nolan was one of the first to realy experiment with IMAX. The movie made sure it captured the city like atmosphere,  and in the beginning the movie showed a far away view of the whole city. This made it seem like each action took part in each part of the city, by using different camera views.

Another amazing technique that the movie used is what I believe is scripting. The movie scripted each characters parts out perfectly, and gave each person a distinct line. For example the Jokers famous line is the movie is “Why so serious?”, and his “creepy laugh”.

What standed out the most to me in the movie was how Harvey Dent was so two sides, which was clear from how he was in the end of the movie compared to the beginning of the movie. The shot of him having half a real face, and a “hell” like other half explained his two faced personality perfectly. It also brought the aspect of love into the movie which helped explain why he acted the way he did. Harvey’s largest line in the movie is giving people a chance to live my flipping the coin, this relates to his past because his girlfriend was so called never given a chance.
