Ding dong the audio’s done

So tonight will be the final end of this audio assignment since the assignment will be broadcast to all the world on ds106 radio. Well when I say all the world I mean the class and 5 people probably listening to the stream. With the project done and behind me I can honestly say it was more trouble than it was worth. As much as I love group projects they are incredibly stressful having to rely on other people to get everything done and in on time. For the most part everything was completed and ready to go but we hit a snag and so by midnight on Sunday, March 11 we were still waiting to be able to complete the assignment. Twitter messages were fired off and facebook messages sent asking what we were going to do. Trouble with a capital T. Other than that little set back, I enjoyed working with the group. I felt that I could have taken on a larger role and done more. I did all the parts I was assigned but they seemed incredibly simple compared to what everyone else was undertaking.

I listened to a little bit of the project but for the most part I couldn’t stand the sound of my voice so I just stopped listening. I had to talk like a freaking moron so that the sound levels didn’t sound like shit because I didn’t have access to a mic other than the built in mic on my computer. The volume levels jumped around due to that and because of the one day that I had access to the recording equipment upstairs. blaaaaagggghgh. they always say you’re most critical of your own work but my work sounded like shit. Well whatever it’s over and done and time to move on to the next project.
