The word storytelling makes me think of Indians sitting around a fire sharing tales of their lives. And minus the indians and the fire that’s basically what storytelling is to me. It is sharing life with the people around you.  To laugh at someones embarrassing moment from high school. To tear up at Katie Davis book Kisses from Katie as she talks about her life in Uganda. Whether it’s through song, video, writing, or in person, storytelling is allowing others to experience things that happen with out having been there. Digital storytelling just narrows down the media where these experience are reencountered. Through videos, bogs, even online books. Digital storytelling has both pros and cons. Con is not being in person (which for some may be a pro just not me). Pro is being able to quickly and widely spread a story.
