This assignment really intrigued me. I love music and I love the significance lyrics can have, especially ones from your favorite songs. So I decided to use a lyric from Jack Johnson’s “Banana Pancakes.”

It just evokes a lazy Sunday morning, rain falling on the roof, making pancakes with your favorite people. When I was growing up (and still now too), my dad would sometimes surprise me with banana pancakes in the morning. I don’t know what it is about banana pancakes, but they are so warm and delicious and make you feel so warm and fuzzy inside. So I tried to create a typography poster from some lyrics in the song that I really love.
