Many people have family traditions, including myself, but when I saw this assignment, Yvonne’s Family Traditions, I instantly thought of my summer job and how every morning we have camp dances to get the kids excited for camp and the day ahead of them. All the counselors have to learn the dances and some counselors get to bring their kids up on stage to lead the dances in the morning. The camp would take popular songs of the year and do create some cool, up beat, fun moving dances. My friend Lexi and I worked together but also played travel softball together that summer. So naturally we got to our hotel for the night for one of our overnight tournaments and decided we would make a video of us practicing one of the dances we had to learn from camp. The video was recorded on my computer application, Photo booth, and captured the beginning of one of the dances. The movie was then saved and uploaded onto youtube with the tags VideoAssignments, VideoAssignments468 and ds106.

Example
Unfortunetaly not many people have completed this assignment, but I thought the creator of the assignment had a really cool video. Her family tradition is cool and shows that little traditions can help keep a family together and bond over the holidays. It is important to remember that the little things in life can have a large impact on someone, and family traditions such as the one portrayed in Yvonne’s Family Tradition video shows how a fun activity can make children, parents and friends of family to appreciate time together.
