The Michigan Radio website is a highly functioning and useful provider of news. The website’s home page provide’s various tabs of interest to navigate as well as a blog like feature with a run down of news for the day. The run down is updated in order of date submitted and not by topic. The various news topics that can be explored are: Arts and Culture, Opinion, Business, Auto, Economy, Education, Environment, Health, Law, Politics, Offbeat, Sports, and Transportation. My favorite feature is a bar graph showing the most active stories. This allows the reader to explore some of the hot and controversial topics of the day. The home page also provides a list of all of Michigan Radio’s contributors. I really like this feature because it allows the reader to navigate through their favorite contributor’s work with ease. For instance, If I am a John U. Bacon fan I can click on his link and immediately be redirected to all of his contributions to Michigan Radio. Overall, the site serves its purpose quite well.
