For my final mashup/remix assignment, I decided to do the Consumer Mashup.  I instantly thought of McDonalds and how they have the annual Monopoly event and then I thought how much there sales probably increase from this coupling.  McDonalds isn’t known for being the healthiest fast food restaurant so not only did I decide to couple McDonalds and Monopoly but also a First aid symbol for how unhealthy the food is.  I went onto google and found a First Aid symbol to use and downloaded it onto GIMP and used that as the main symbol.

I then googled a monopoly symbol and downlaoded an image of the iconic monopoly man and opened it into new GIMP template.

Finally I googled the McDonald symbol and downloaded it into a new GIMP template where I used the lasso cutter to cut out the M symbol and then copy and pasted it onto the chest of the Monopoly man symbol.

Once the symbol was placed onto the Monopoly man’s chest, I then used the lasso cutter and cut out the man to remove it from the background.  I then copied the image and placed it onto the First Aid image to create the final product.  With the final product I am portraying that buy coupling McDonald with the game monopoly it will increase sales which impact consumers health in a negative way leading to an increase in medical visits. I uploaded the image onto flicker and labeled it with the tags MashupAssignments120, MashupAssignments and ds106 so the assignment bank would recognize it.
