Bumper

And now for bumpers. To be totally honest I had no idea what a bumper was until today! First thing I did was look up what a bumper could be, once I figured out it was the small intro’s on radio stations that we typically hear between songs’s I realized it was something I had heard a million times! So in this assignment we were asked to make a bumper for our ds106 radio show! So I acted as if I were a host of the show (which I soon will be, for our mid-term assignment) and layered one of my favorite songs in the background “Ho Hey” by the Lumineers. I had an interesting time trying to set the back ground music sound level lower than when I was talking but I’m pretty sure I have a fairly good handle on it.

Again I must say that the “Layer Sounds in Audacity” tutorial helped out so much! After of course downloading Audacity and the Lame Library plug in, all I had to do was record my bumper then layer the music over it. This assigment seemed really daunting at the start but after doing my audio story this one sort of fell into place!
