    Weekly Summary 10

    by
Week’s Over. It’s late so I’m going to keep this summary a little bit shorter than usual. It was also a fairly short week in terms of how much total work there was, although each individual assignment took longer than usual. First we looked at Rodger Ebert’s piece on “reading movies”. Everything is explained in … Continue reading Weekly Summary 10

    Week 10 Summary

    by
Reading Movies: http://applications.emmasaxophone.com/video-storytelling/reading-movies/ I found this article to be interesting and weird at the same time. The article had some good points on how to analyze and criticize a movie. I thought it was weird though how he went on and on and on about what he analyzed more then how to analyze. Look.Listen.Analyze: http://applications.emmasaxophone.com/video-storytelling/look-listen-analyze/ I never really tried analyzing a movie

    Reading Movies

    by
Roger Ebert’s “How to Read a Movie”: Ebert’s view of reading a movie was unlike anything I have ever even thought about. His analysis goes does all the way into how to view a character. He says that the characters on the right side of the image are positive, and characters on the left are negative. […]

    Breaking Down Movies

    by
After Reading How To Read A Movie by Roger Ebert, I came away with a couple of immediate thoughts.
