    Assignment Bank- Visual

    by
I chose the assignment “Shadow of a Doubt” because of the requirements of the assignment. I took this picture just before leaving home to come back for my last semester at UMW. I was at a friends house who lives on Back Bay in Virginia Beach. It was during sunset and I just loved the way the shadows hit the picture. The picture itself is simple and almost boring looking. However, with the sun and the shadows, it made it so much more beautiful- and a filter never hurts. This picture reminds me of home and it makes me really happy. I’m typically not a very sentimental person so having a connection to something so simple makes it even more valubale to me. #ds106 #VisualAssignments #VisualAssignments2072

When I think secret agent, the first thing that comes to mind is the typical description of dark hat, dark slick shades, trench coat, cutting edge technology, and secretive attitude. Specific movies and characters that come to mind when I think of sec...

    Introductions to DS106

    by
Hello! My name is Katie and a senior here at University of Mary Washington. I am excited for this class and to see all the exciting things everyone comes up with. In my free time I play soccer and spend time with friends and family. Although I am not an expert when it comes to secret agents, they have always been apart of my life through movies and can’t wait to blog about this exciting theme. Unfortunately I cannot get my Instagram to embed, but here is the link to my post! https://www.instagram.com/p/BswDy9VAlOs/

    Radio Listen

Sound effects are good! Music could be just a tad bit quieter #ds106 — Richelle Holnick (@RichelleHolnick) October 25, 2018 What made you guys choose to do a show about horses? #ds106 — Richelle Holnick (@RichelleHolnick) October 25, 2018 I really like all of your bumpers! They all feel different and creative #ds106 — Richelle Holnick (@RichelleHolnick) October 25, 2018 Someone's voice sounds like @LauraPrepon on this #ds106 radio show — Richelle Holnick (@RichelleHolnick) October 25, 2018 I listened to Wednesday’s show. The experience of listening to a radio show is always hard for me. I’ve mentioned this before but I find it hard to concentrate when I have nothing to look at, only hear. I thought that this group had really good sound effects! They layered well and employed them when appropriate without over doing it, or under-doing it. (is that a word? I’m using it as one). It’s interesting to see how other groups decided to do their shows. My group did it all as one, having our character’s interact. They chose to do theirs more singularly. I don’t really have an opinion on which one is better, I think the variety between shows is nice! My one critique of their show is that the audio was not all the same volume, some speakers were quieter or louder than others, and a lot of the commercials were also very quiet, where one bumper was loud.
