    Voice Over Beat

    by
This was a beat that I had previously made for an assignment and just voiced over with a deepened pitch. I wasn’t really sure what to say over such a short, high bpm beat so I just went a little simple.

    Coming Soon!

    by
Archives As an advertisement for our upcoming radio show, I decided to create a flyer. It seemed like a good advertisement option and also gave me a reason to play around a little and discover some more about the Inkscape program I downloaded for visual editing projects like this. I still don’t know a lot about it and I really have no creativity when it comes to colors and color schemes unfortunately 🙁 I started by getting the ds106 radio logo. Then I searched online for a spy-themed image that I liked and felt like fit our show’s theme. I […]

    Radio Show Update Week 1

    by
Archives I would have to say our group was both productive and not productive this week. What I mean by that is, I feel like we got a lot decided but when I think about what still needs to be done, I feel like we didn’t really do anything at all! The week started by everyone joining/being assigned to a group for the project. My group started a group e-mail which led to a group text chat. We had wanted to to try and meet up one night this week to discuss things but unfortunately, our schedules did not mesh […]

    March!

    by
Audio assignments have been pretty painstaking for me maybe because I never had the experience of using an audio software. For one audio assignment, I tried to combine 2 songs, one original and one cover of an original, but it turned out that I had the same problem as before of figuring out the starting time. Since the two songs …

    Second Radio Bumper

    by
So, since we didn’t do the last bumper as part of the official assignment bank, I created another radio bumper. We haven’t yet come up a title for our show, so I kept it just themed to DS106 and spying. I did something a little different than last time. The music especially is pretty cool. […]

    30 Seconds Intro

    by
For this assignment, I recorded my 30 introduction using Audacity. I talked about my likes as a list of items. I thought that 30 second introduction was going to be quite long, given an awkward situation like facing someone you have never met, but approaching it in a categorical way helped decrease the perception of time. It actually gave me …

    Song gone twisted

    by
I had the chance to get my hands on Audacity and as I was getting myself adjusted using such software, I had a lot of fun playing around with it. I chose the song, Shut Up and Dance by Walk The Moon from my “mixtape,” and I added random effects to the song every 15 seconds for 15 seconds. The …

    Spring break!

    by
Spring break officially started today in school and eventhough I will be here studying most of the time, I decided to make a playlist that expresses my emotions, thoughts, and wishes. It was not the easiest task to come up with songs that fit into the theme of spring break since I rarely keep myself updated with popular music. In …

    Weekly summary (2/25-3/3)

    by
This week was a return to audio techniques in preparation for the radio show project we will have to be doing. All in all I feel like the assignments gave me more experience in audacity which is pretty nice since it is a pretty useful program. The biggest downside of the week was just trying to get in touch with the group to communicate. While some communicated it was not everyone, and even then communication felt a bit static instead of a dynamic back and forth. http://igtherioncrossek.com/uncategorized/row-row-polyphony/ http://igtherioncrossek.com/uncategorized/sound-effects/ http://igtherioncrossek.com/uncategorized/favorite-song/ @ds106dc #ds106 pic.twitter.com/q118T4aRsi — Igtherion Crossek (@Igtherion) February 27, 2017 @ds106dc

    New Alternative Mixtape

I tries to throw together a mix tape of new and old alternative songs that I liked to listen to and have spent a lot of time playing. Most of these songs are very well known and popular but some of them might be a little different so let me know what y...

    Spy Mix-Tape

    by
For this four point audio assignment, I decided to create a Soundcloud mix-tape of notable spy songs, many of which related to my radio group’s specific topic of sexspionage. You can view the playlist below! I wanted to avoid song covers, to capture the original songs’ direct references of the spy genre. As a result, … Continue reading "Spy Mix-Tape"
