    Bumper

    by
I took the radio bumper from weeks ago and edited the music around the bumper, making the song out of sequence to how it was produced. I enjoyed working around the different clips and making it flow together.

    Sum it up 7 & 8

    by
In these 2 weeks I: -Finished my radio show with Ashley and Enisa Creating the radio show was not as terrible as I played it up to be in my head. We did not start out very organized, it was hard to find a medium of communication that everyone would respond to in a timely manner, including myself. The initial communication was probably the hardest part of this assignment, never having met one another meant we had to send out messages by various online means and hope the group would see and respond timely. Ashley and Enisa ended up making an executive decision on our theme, which was for the … Continue reading →

    Exit, pursued by Creeper Oberon

    by
My One-Girl Shakespeare Scene ended up starring the creepiest version of Oberon ever (also a profusion of tinkly fairy sound effects). The scene I chose was from “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” and involves Hermia confronting Demetrius over the whereabouts of her lover, Lysander. When Oberon enters to discover that that his servant, Puck, has mistakenly ...

    Radio Week: Crank My Tunes

    by
Radio Week is going to be a summary of week 7 and week 8…mostly of week 8 because I did some group radio work and some Daily Creates in week 7, but then went home and relaxed and did NOTHING for the first time in a long while! Anyways, these two weeks were low on amount of work required, but when you got down to doing the assignment, it was easy to tell why…Audio takes time to manipulate and create something good. And it takes even more time to come up with something amazing. I never really worked with audio before this week, but I’m pleased with what I was … Continue reading

This is 4 star audio assignment,”The One-Man Play.” It is audio assignment 567. The instructions were: “Act out a scene from a play by yourself, using different voices for different characters. Have fun with this!” I loved this assignment! The hardest part was choosing which scene to actually do. After lots of time looking at ...

    Extreme walls and emotions.

    by
October 8, 2012: Extreme Edit! “Take a photo, then edit that photo to the eXtreme, making the photo eXtraordinary…” I took this photo of the link between Mason and Randolph because I really like this new building. It was definitely a pleasant edition to campus. I edited it in GIMP. I inverted the colors, ...

    Daily Creates

    by
In the past 2 weeks I did 6 daily creates: First, draw an emotion with your non dominant hand: drawing with my non dominant hand makes me angry haha, i guess this is what kindergarten feels like. Then, take a picture of something you do in the morning: Oh its only 9:10? I can leave in 5 more minutes… (and only be 5 minutes late) Then, a YouTube video of water: Teddy is very interest in where this water is coming from, and how he’s going to play with his ice cube around it?! A picture of a wall or fence: A wall in the Colosseum, I love the way … Continue reading →

Remixing ds106 Assignments at Open Ed 2012

    by
cc licensed ( BY NC SD ) flickr photo shared by giulia.forsythe It’s been a jam full week of conference and post conference fun at Open Education 2012 – how much cooler could a conference be that has not only a night boat cruise but has a rocking jam session from participants? cc licensed ( BY NC SD ) flickr photo shared by mnlamberson On the first day I had my 22.5 minutes to talk about the ds106 Assignment Bank and the Remix Machine we built for it earlier this year – the idea hopefully to share that its more than just using resources strung together but thinking of everything as something we can bend, spindle, fold, and mutilate creatively- that we actually remix our ideas. The session was The Open Assignment Bank of ds106 and Remixing Thereof where you will find requisite slides and resource links. ds106 is an ...

    May I take your order?

    by
http://assignments.ds106.us/assignments/may-i-take-your-order/ For this assignment I had to YouTube a video to help me improve my different accents.  This assignment requires that we use a different accent pretending to order something off the menu at McDonald’s.  One of the requirements was to be picky! Every time I order something from McDonald’s i’m picky so that was no challenge at all.  I used Audacity ...

    by
http://assignments.ds106.us/assignments/poetry-reading/ For this assignment I had to take a poem and make it more into a story.  Reading the poem aloud in a way to make it feel like a story and extend the end to connect to a story.  I used Audacity to record myself reading is by Udiah “Kiss of my Love” which ...
