    A Shot in the Dark

    by
What makes a good secret agent? Is it their stealthiness? Their quick thinking? Their innate crime-solving ability? For Inspector Clouseau, it might be none of those things. Clouseau is absent-minded and clumsy, and disaster seems to follow him wherever he goes. However, I still believe his story to be a good one, and very interesting […]

    Photoblitz

    by
http://johnjohnston.info/photoblitzer/  start time: 4:57 http://johnjohnston.info/photoblitzer/ end time: 5:07 This photo blitz required me to do a variety of different photographic activities. For the most part, they were all relatively easy. A picture of the grass outside of my backdoor, a close up of a little fake Christmas tree my mom gave me, a cool pair of pants I bought a couple of months ago, a picture of J.K. Rowling smiling from a 2018 calendar that is still up in my kitchen, an angle from the floor of part of my living room, and my favorite color- purple. The only picture I had difficulty with was taking a photograph of something “rusted or crusted.” I’m not sure I did this one correctly, but it was the only thing I could think of. I just took a picture of a dead plant I have been meaning to throw out. However, I could argue that I made it beautiful because plants and flowers, when alive, are beautiful. This photo blitz assignment was also fun! It was exciting to have to quickly take a picture to match each category with a time limit.

    Still Shots: Atomic Blonde

    by
All of these photographs are taken from the secret agent movie Atomic Blonde (2017). Each photo represents a different category from the list of ways a photo has a narrative or tells a story. I got all of them from a website that had hundreds of snapshots from the movie. After reading the details for each category, it was not difficult to find pictures that matched each description. It also gave me a better understanding of the different possible ways to approach taking a photo. It was a fun exercise to dive deeper into the method of photography!

    007’s Weekly Summary #3

    by
This week I read Chapter 1 of “Storytelling for the Twenty-First Century,” and watched Vonnegut on The Shape of Stories. I made my analysis from the themes of those works to Kim Possible. That was such a fun experience because I love Kim Possible and the secret agent theme in general, so dissecting the formula

    Week Three Summary

    by
This week been a lot of writing. I enjoyed it, though. I love writing and getting my creative juices flowing. Reading and Watching Storytelling I started the week off by reading a chapter The New Digital Storytelling. The chapter talked about what people think stories are (by defining what they are not) and how stories are told. I

    Secret Agent Daily Creates

    by
First Daily Create: This was a super quick one! I created this image via Canva and it took all of three minutes at most. I knew I wanted to finish the phrase with “drinking coffee and finishing homework,” because that is something I do on the regular. I am addicted to coffee and I also

    Week Three Summary

    by
This week was much more time consuming than the weeks before. Which is not surprising as we are getting farther into the semester. It definitely pushed my creative writing side more than it has ever been pushed. I really enjoyed learning more about myself and writing. Honestly, I am glad that this week is over! I did learn quite a lot about storytelling and am excited to incorporate into future assignments. I loved reading through everyone’s blogs and their stories. All were super interesting. I really appreciate the work that each of my classmates have put into their assignments. It is amazing that I am getting to know each of them all through digital communication. Super Analysis

    by
For my story analysis, I decided to watch The Incredibles. It had been a while since I had seen it, and it’s a good movie, so I thought “why not?”. The movie starts off with the news that superheroes have to go into hiding. Mr. Incredible saved a man who did not want to be saved,

    Secret Agent Shaped Stories

    by
The on-theme story I have chosen is that of Kim Possible. I absolutely loved the show growing up so I felt it was fitting. So much of the video and the reading apply directly to Kim Possible. For example, each episode follows a similar “story shape,” it begins around an average point, Kim is just
