I loved this. I really love doing this to photos and I do it often when I break videos. When datamoshing, you have to color shift to make the transitions stick out more so that they break.
Photoblitz!!! I WATCHED IT CHANGE TO 7:15 from 7:14 I’M SO UPSET I WAS SO CLOSE This was a really fun exercise! It was equally as stressful! Sorry for the cut on my finger!! I think this is a really interesting task and could be something cool to do from time to time just to … Continue reading Photoblitz
For my final Visual Assignment, I decided to do the Your Love for Your Pet Assignment (3.5 stars). I feel like I am starting to develop a trend with my assignments; I really enjoy doing the ones where I get to use my excessive pictures and videos of my dog. I love my dog, and …
Week 3 I only did one daily create because I was traveling for New York. I was helping put on a summit at the United Nations for my summer internship! Because of this, I did extra during week 4. I had a gremlin in my computer I thought of who I would reach out to I talked like a pirate I made some monster sounds! Suns out buns out…these kinds of buns, right?
My bag is pretty boring!
I have some pens and a notebook for class.
A computer of all internet-related activities.
Keys for my house and car.
A necklace passed down from my grandmother. I don’t like necklaces, they can get in the way, so I lik...
Here’s a collage that describes my character, Irri. He likes ice, hates spiders, lives in a magical gnome world, and is nice. I think I summarized everything well in this picture and description.
So these are photos that I just took of my room. At first I was like, oh I should clean! But then I realized that is not a very accurate perception of who I am as a person. So I decided to just let it be. The first photo is my bed. I have lots ...
The Holnick House is a rip off of the Brady Bunch!
This is my family. There’s my mom, Cathy. I asked her for a photo and she took a selfie in the mirror-how silly! My father Steve, featured in one of his favorite shirts. My cat Mia, laying down a...
The final Visual Assignment I’ve chosen to do for this week is for 3 and a half stars, and it can be found here. It was to create digital art using only 4 Lines, 5 Dots, and 1 Curve. This was a very fun piece to make! To be honest, I don’t really have much experience … Continue reading A Computer Scientist’s Attempt at Art
This is the collage I made that is showing my personal places of peace. The biggest photo I have is the barn that the horse I am leasing lives in. Going to the barn is a chance for me to unwind from my day and get away from all of my stress! The top p...
I was so looking forward to the hurricane and then it never came. ANNOYED. However, it did allow me to do a little relaxing, which was much needed. Even though this is not my favorite theme in the world, I’m finding it to not actually be that bad. Nora Bendenova was introduced a few posts […]
I really love photography. I have an absurd amount of pictures on my phone and laptop. I do the same thing with games-tons of screenshots. Camera phones are one of my favorite ever inventions because of that. I discovered Picasa this week, which is awesome. I will make so. many. collages. I will have… Read more
These are 2 still shots from the Game of Thrones which, in my opinion, goes along with our theme. You see the different perspectives between the two. The first one, you have no idea what she’s looking at, and you think the people in the back are looking at her. But then in the second, […]
I’m gonna gush about American Gods some more. Aren’t you excited? As I’ve written before, the use of a visual medium for American Gods is amazing. There’s a lot of framing and perspective shots, especially when it comes to Shadow. Like, A LOT. I’m not kidding. I’ll refrain from putting them all in. This one… Read more
CW: dark images, possible blood, death I wrote about this song last week but didn’t go into detail about the video because I was focussing on the auditory feel of it. Luckily, I get too look at it now, so let’s go! selection There’s a lot happening on the screen but you can see … Continue reading Stills From: Will He
This week I’ve been tasked to do a photoblitz, an activity in which you’re given a list of 7 items to photograph and given 20 minutes to see how many of them you can manage! I managed to get 6 in my run through. This first image was taken to show the time I started … Continue reading Quick! Snap a photo!
Malkav never gave up on his desire to live in the fridge, even after the time when he was a kitten that we didn’t see him in there, and he got shut in. Or when he really got too big to fit in there.
My knowledge of photography is very limited and sad. That being said, I do a lot of photography. I do a lot with film cameras and iphone cameras only, I avoid high-quality digital cameras on purpose because while I love how crisp and detailed they can be, I don’t want that. I do a lot … Continue reading Photography ~ I’m bad at it
For this activity I decided to take the suggestion of taking a film and analyzing the elements in its photography that are tied to the examples and information related in this weeks previous readings. The film I have selected is 2017’s smash hit IT. The film follows a group of misfit kids that form a …
The song I am examining is Joji’s Will He: found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2zXxQHBpd8 Pretty easily one of the most confusingly emotional songs I’ve come across in a while, Will He is very strange. It very obviously a sad song about a break up, but the chord progression is haunting. The video adds to the mystery of emotions in … Continue reading How Does a Song Make You Feel?
This is my bucket list! I want to write a book because it seems fun and rewarding. I want to live in Italy because I loved studying abroad there. I want to visit Hollywood because I would love to see the sets and stuff, especially of my favorite show ...
My largest fear is probably spiders. I know it’s a common fear, and I know they’re nothing to worry about, but it just surfaced recently and it’s terrible. I was on vacation in Ireland with my roommate and I was in bed and I felt what I thought was my hair moving on my arm … Continue reading Facing Your Fears
I decided to attempt the random wikipedia article writing challenge and my article is Nealcidion brachiale or, a species of beetle in the family Cerambycidae. This is the whole article. I will now tie it to my character. Irri was always afraid of bugs. When he was younger, he was stung by two wasps at the same time while … Continue reading Nealcidion brachiale
This is me working through the creation of a character. Going with our theme, and looking over the archetypes of mythical tales and such, I figured I would probably be a gnome. It’s not that I’m small and stout or anything, I just feel like my character should be a gnome; they’re nice and obnoxious. … Continue reading Irritated the Gnome
