    Video Summary

    by
Video Week Assignments: Video Summary What did you learn? I learned about camera angles and what they might mean. Things like zooming in/out, over the shoulder shots, low/high angles, etc., all have different meanings. Each one tells a story to the viewer even if the viewer isn’t quite aware of it. The newest concept for […]

    Character Story

    by
For this assignment, I had to create a video story of the secret agent character I created earlier this semester, Margo Humphrey. The video begins with a picture of what I imagine Margo to look like. The picture is of American actress Naomi Watts. I then show a picture of Margo’s two cats, Poke and Miso. Then is a picture of a top secret folder since she is a secret agent. Margo also likes to vacation at her parents’ home in the Hamptons so I included a picture of that and a picture of Japan since she also vacations there (hence the name of her two cats). To make the video, I had a lot of difficulty. I got all my images from Google and uploaded them that way to iMovie. I then created my voice over audio clip with the voice memo app on my phone and uploaded that as well to to iMovie. iMovie has been giving me a lot of problems this week and for some reason wouldn’t let me extend the time each picture was on screen to correspond with the voice over. This is why there is a long period of a black screen with me talking. A little frustraiting.

    Tell Your Character’s Story

    by
This assignment required me to tell the story of my character through video. However, I decided to change it up a little bit and talk briefly about myself! I used the whiteboard my roommate and I have on our fridge to draw my life. My roommate also recorded this for me so a quick shoutout to her! It was pretty easy to make: I uploaded the video to iMovie and did a quick voiceover with the voice memo app on my phone! In the video I talk about being born in California and then moving to Virginia, then starting college at UMW, and now graduating in May! I’ve seen a lot of Youtubers doing this in videos and thought it would be cool to do my own version!

    top 10 mo facts

    by
above is my video response to the video assignment “tell your character’s story.” i went about this story boarding by thinking about the transient nature of my character mo, and how she is everywhere (as a time-traveling badass) but also a centralized character (as i tell her story from a very specific characterization and perspective). … Continue reading top 10 mo facts
