A Blocky Cabin by the Virtual Sea: Back to Basics!

    by
by Thomas Pulsifer The number of assignments to choose from in the Assignment Bank is pretty overwhelming, but when I saw Jonah Helblingā€™s assignment to build a house in Minecraft, I couldnā€™t resist. Minecraft is easily my favorite game, and my favorite part of Minecraft is building. So, after spending some quality time in SurvivalContinue reading "A Blocky Cabin by the Virtual Sea: Back toĀ Basics!"

    Words Of Color

    by
For my final DS106 assignment for this week, I decided to do something a bit more different and creative while connecting it directly back to this courseā€™s theme: Digital Storytelling. The assignment I decided to do is ā€œThe Color Of Words,ā€ which has you use PhotoChrome to generate a color palette and a set of images in Unsplash by searching a random word. Since this is the first week of assignments for this class, I wanted to relate this assignment directly to DS106. I wonā€™t say immediately what word I searched, since I want to see if anyone reading this post can guess by looking at the image below. Please, take a look at the image below then continue reading! Now that youā€™ve looked at the image I created, please go onto the next page where Iā€™ll talk about the process more in-depth!

    All 5 Design Assignments

When creating this assignment I knew I wanted to merge two sandwich places together. I ended up choosing Subway and Burger king. I took upon myself to do my own variation of it. I took the burger kingā€™s colors and inserted into the subway logo in a way that was similar to the burger kingā€™s [ā€¦]

Nathanā€™s Reeseā€™s Puffs Take the Big Screen

    by
Welcome to my first remix! When thinking about what work I had done this semester and wanted to remix, the first thing that came to mind was my FAVORITE project so far, Nathanā€™s Reeseā€™s Puffs. This initially was a design project, but remix it and now itā€™s a video project! In order to make myā€¦ Continue reading Nathanā€™s Reeseā€™s Puffs Take the Big Screen

Are You Ready for Some Memories?

    by

Our group is excited to share some childhood memories with you all for our radio show project. The idea was inspired by a bit on Disney Channel where stars would share important memories and time in their lives with the audience. Our show will be called Stories of our Stories: A Trip Down Memory Lane. [ā€¦]

King of Jesters, and Jester of Kings!

    by
When I was much younger, my parents introduced me and my sister to the movie The Court Jester. For me, this 1955 classic was my first medieval/fairytale-themed rom-com movie I ever sawā€”The Princess Bride is the second one I can think of. One of the assignments I picked this week from the Design Assignments in [ā€¦]

    ā€œWeapons of Mass Percussionā€ T-Shirt

    by
When I participated in Week 3ā€™s Daily Creates, I didnā€™t expect to do anything with my creations later on. I had thought that I really liked my caution sign (ā€œCaution: Weapons of Mass Percussionā€), and it would be fun to have on a t-shirt or something. Thatā€™s why I decided to do the Design Assignment [ā€¦]

    Cinderelly

By now, most of you have probably at least seen the trailers if not the movie for one of the new live-action films Disney has been producing. (If you havenā€™t, what planet have you been living on?). One of my favorites is Cinderella. When I saw the challenge entitled, ā€œFavorite Movie Quote,ā€ I couldnā€™t resist ā€¦
