    Assignment #1

    by
One of the things that are making me happy this week is the American Politics and how it is very humorous to see how much it has changed. Instead of creating reforms we are fighting over things that really do not matter. Below is a video that shows exactly what is said in the picture; … Continue reading "Assignment #1"

    Marmalade

    by
February 5, 2020. I got to taste Andrea's marmalade today, which she put in jars yesterday. The first note you taste is maple, but then the Seville orange flavour comes to the fore. Finished revisions to my OER paper, did a survey, and caught up on som...

    80’s Photography

    by
I LOVED looking at all the old 80s photos!! It was so fun to look at what people were wearing and doing at my age during the 80s. I especially loved looking at the 1980s Music and Pop Culture Photography. One of my favorite photos from this site was one of Freddy Mercury. I love the way that the photographer used the light in the photo (which was one of the tips in the Telling Stories In Photos article). The angles of Freddy along with the brightness of the sun make for a super dynamic and interesting photo. Another photo […]

    Before

    by
February 4, 2020. They've taken down all the posters and other wall art (such as it was) at our office in preparation for painting. This is what it looks like before that painting. Meeting in the morning, and completed a bunch of 'Big Data Day' reviews...

    4807

    by
February 3, 2020. Either I was a bit early or the 4807 was a bit late, but either way, I had to stop for it on the way in. Today I worked on my OER paper, and with an extra push. I got it sent off by the end of the day. https://flic.kr/p/2ipzxyj

    Splash the Color

    by
For this assignment our instructions were to remove all the color from a photo and then restore the color to one object. I decided to use a photo of me in front of a vibrant yellow door because I thought the pop of color from the door would make the contrast more visible. I used photo shop to first lay down a full color image of the photo. I then went in a laid a black and white image perfectly on top of it. I was then able to cut out the door part of the black and white image […]

    Hybird Animal

    by
For this assignment we were instructed to combine two different animals to make some sort of hybrid animal. I decided to go with a cat and a dog. I felt like each of these animals had qualities I liked so why not combine them and make the perfect pet! The name of this animal would be “Cog” (a combo of “dog” and “cat”). They would be super high energy and love being outside. They love being played with but also can cuddle up with you and sleep. They are independent when they need to be but also rely on you. […]

    Popstar Out of Place

    by
For this assignment we had to take a picture of a pop star and put them into a location where you wouldn’t usually find them. I decided to stick with our 80s theme and use Freddy Mercury from Queen as my pop star. I then decided to put him at the bottom of the ocean. I had a lot of fun with this assignment because I felt like I had a lot of creative freedom. Plus, I got to use photoshop, which I love. I’m sure the fishes enjoyed the underwater performance! PS: This was a 3.5 star assignment..5 stars […]
