    ds106 Radio (Week Five):

    by
ds106 Radio Reflection This week I was asked to tune into a ds106 radio episode and participate in a live “tweet-along.” I decided to save the best for last and tune into the Thursday stream. And by that I mean I procrastinated until the last possible second, but it actually worked out in my favor. […]

    Listening Through the Week (5)

    by
This week was audio week. My first impression was not great. I hate hearing my voice on recording because to me I sound like a 4 year old little girl. Even though I was dreading this week of audio assignments, I went in with my head up high. The only way I can learn audio story telling is by doing so. We had to listen to the Mood Graffiti audio and reflect on it. It was very interesting and it...

    Trying to Follow DS106 Radio

    by
I listened to DS106 Radio on Thursday September 28th. It was an interesting experience. For that session, they played the audio for a Batman story. The audio itself was very good, clear with good layering and sound movement from the left to the right. The […]

    Ceto’s Soundtrack

    by
So, this was time consuming. The last few assignments that featured Ceto relied heavily on my intro scene. This one forced me to zoom out and picture her story as a whole. Ceto is a primordial sea goddess who is banished to Earth and forced to inhabit a physical form. I still have not decided whether she hurts or helps mankind … Continue reading Ceto’s Soundtrack

    Radio Post Ideas

    by
This is for brainstorming for the radio show. Below are some of my ideas. 1) Why do superheros wear such bold colors in the original comics when they are trying to be stealthy. 2)21 Questions Superhero addition. For Example: Do you wear a cape? Are you white? 3) Ranking the best to worst marvel movies/DC […]

    Tweet-A-Thon

    by
At the beginning of the tweet athon I wasn’t really sure what to expect. But I tuned in a little early to make sure everything worked. Which obviously it did. Then Professor Bond began speaking and I was excited to apply some of the different audio things we were learning about to what we were […]

Sounds only a super chef would love

    by
Sound Effects – 3.5 Stars For this audio assignment I had to create my own sound effect. I decided to incorporate my super hero into this. Since she is a super chef I decided to create a sound effect of Merciful Mise en Place’s 2 favorite sounds. Dishing being washed and put into the dishwasher because this means that she completed her job and ready to move onto help a new person in need. The other sound would be someone cutting...

    Merciful Mise en Place Soundtrack

    by
Here is the soundtrack for Merciful Mise en Place. This was really hard to do. I am not too creative when it comes to wording so this was especially hard to do. I ended up googling chef quotes that I could mash together to get my soundtrack to describe a chef. I used Garageband for this recording. I recorded my voice and altered it to sound a little bit less like a 4 year old little girl. I then added...

    Tweeting Along With The Radio

    by
I listened to DS106 radio Wednesday night. I did not know what to expect the first time listening so I was a but nervous. This night of radio ended up being an episode of Jessica Jones. I have never heard of the show before but I assume it is from Netflix because I recognized the Netflix sound at the beginning. It was really hard at times in the episode to understand what was actually going on. There would be music...

    Weekly Summary #4 (Week 5)

    by
Another week has come to a close, it’s been a very time consuming week in all my classes so I’m really happy it’s over. Here are my three daily creates for the week: Creepy stuff. Giant turkeys and flying spiders. #tdc2085 pic.twitter.com/OP50h8M1JH — Olivia Breler (@OliviaBreler) September 24, 2017 Probably something like this. #tdc2088 pic.twitter.com/IifisyPNB5 …

    Radio show ideas

    by
So my idea for the radio show, since it’s superhero themed and all would be interviews with our superheroes! We’ve all created a superhero, so wouldn’t it be kinda cool for us all to each “interview” our fictional superheroes?   Just a thought!

    Little Brain’s SuperSidekick Soundtrack

    by
Little Brain’s introduction… To complete Little Brain’s super-sidekick introduction I played one of his favorite songs TNT by AC/DC in the background at a lower volume than the person reading. Then I wrote out a script for my lovely volunteer reader to follow. The script included a quick summary of how he developed his powers. … Continue reading Little Brain’s SuperSidekick Soundtrack

    Little Brain’s Bad*** Mixtape

    by
For my first audio assignment this week was worth 4 stars! I chose to complete the Make your own Mixtape assignment. I loved making this assignment because I have a playlist for everything! I have a playlist for sleep, working out, going out, everything! And now I have a playlist for my superhero character Little … Continue reading Little Brain’s Bad*** Mixtape

    Superhero soundtrack

    by
I struggled with this assignment because I had a perfect playlist picked out, buuuuut those were all songs that I couldn’t upload to soundcloud because of copyright issues. I found a website called Free Music Archive where I found a few songs that I thought fit my superhero Charlie quote well. Enjoy!
