This week in ds106 the focus was on design, design elements, and design assignments. I started off the week by summarizing what I learned from the Kidd article about design elements, specifically colors. I always wondered how interior designers could pick two random colors and make them look so good together. From diagrams I learned …
Design Reflection Bank Assignments Daily Creates I created more than 3 daily creates on twitter but posted only the three for the assignments. Commenting on Posts Three top posts were shared via the assignment link.
Finally putting this week to a close. On top of all of these assignments I had to complete, I also had 2 tests. I have 2 more next week :(. Regardless, I think I enjoy the design assignments a lot more than the others. They are a lot easier to make and...
Week 6 was one of those weeks where, in hindsight it wasn’t that bad, but during the week it was a struggle. I started my week with a daily create where I drew (and colored via the photo editing app on my phone) a big hear hugging a little heart. This was a cute and […]

What a fun week! Like I have said in previous posts, I am very interested in design as something I want to do as a career, most specifically website design and graphic design. I had a lot of fun taking stuff I learned and worked on in other classes into this week. My favorite part of the week was definitely the Design Assignments but I’ll talk about those a little later in this post. The first thing I did this week was research design by reading and watching the things posted on the DS106 website. I enjoyed reading the article […]
Unfortunately, I found myself short on time. I promise this one is being updated on Saturday, especially since it involves groupwork. Please check it out!
I can’t believe we have just completed the fifth week of classes already! We have almost completed 1/3 of the semester – that’s crazy! This week was audio week. At first I didn’t know where to start. I am not super familiar with audio editing software. I took an elective in middle school (!!!) as […]
I reaaaalllly enjoyed this weeks audio assignments. It was so much fun to experiment with many sounds. I did try to limit myself with how many sounds I got because I feel that these limitations can help, creatively. There were one audio assignment that I wasn’t particularly happy with but I did learn a lotRead More
This week has been really fun learning the in-and-outs of Audacity, iMovie, and GarageBand as well as listening to Radiolab’s Jad Abumrad and his insights on what makes storytelling via radio so compelling. Moon Graffiti was a very... Read More
I dreaded this week because itβs not my forte at all, and frankly just not my cup of tea. I also hate hearing any audio of my voice, it always makes me cringe, and Iβm sick with a flu this w...
Here are the links to all my posts this week: Audio creation definitely was the hardest unit for me so far. There is definitely a learning curve for digital audio creation because there are lot of softwares and tools. I think I could have spent more time this week learning but it was just hard for me to get into it because I am not very good at using computers.
I started off this week working on my daily creates! My favorite daily create from this week as definitely being able to look back on the time I went to the Ed Sheeran concert! I really enjoyed working on all the daily creates this week! The next thing that I did was the Radio Bumper …
This week was long and tiring, I only ate on average 1 meal per day, and usually had between 2-5 hours of sleep per day. Programming was fun as always, but the rest of the week was exhausting, with me working until late in the morning on a few days, especially on Thursday-Friday where I […]
For my second Audio Bank assignment, I chose All the Relaxation. This assignment asked the creator to create a collaboration of sounds that could be looped to create a relaxing background noise. I used freesound.org for my sounds and Garage Band to complete the assignment. In my last assignment I focused on layering sounds, for […]
This week we focused on Audio Assignments which is definitely out of my wheel house. I downloaded and played extensively with Audacity which was very user friendly and intuitive. I recorded myself a fair bit which is not something I enjoy but I faced these assignments head on in the pursuit of my degree! For …
it almost rhymes! would you call that a slant rhyme? unsure, i disgaree with and hate slant rhymes as a concept so i’m probably not the best judge. anywho ds106! this week was full of totally rocking daily creates that you can find right here! I was definitely intimidated going into this week. I have never worked with any audio editing before this week, but it was so much fun. I also liked the the live tweeting during DS106 Radio. Unfortunately only participated once because of evening class...
This week’s focus was on audio, which I have mostly dabbled in when it came to making mixes for my PAC pieces, whether it’s cutting a song to fit the allowed time frame or putting different songs together and making sure one songs transitions to the next as fluidly as possible. However, before getting into […]
This was a long week. So much to do, but little time to do it. It all started off with my first post: “Radio Show Ideas” I had some great ideas about radio shows and podcasts, and I would love to continue them down the road. Next, I posted about my Daily creation on 2/13/2020. … Continue reading "Week 5 Summary"

This week was crazy for me. It was a week where I needed my time management skills. I was busy all last weekend and then went home in the middle of this week for a concert (which was super fun). So I only had 4 full days to get all my work done. It was a bit of a struggle, and I wasn’t able to complete everything I wanted to, but I got as much done as I could which is alright with me. Besides the craziness of the week, I enjoyed the assignments and daily creates. I am a […]
